2022 KPCA GenOffGrid Conference Wrap Up

We welcomed over 230 delegates to the sold out 2022 KPCA GenOffGrid conference and enjoyed a fantastic two days of networking, learning, and coming together to discuss key issues facing the Northern Australian cattle industry.

The two-day conference and social program featured 28 speakers from across Australia – Speakers at the event included the Honourable Alannah MacTiernan, Minister for Regional Development: Agriculture and Food: Hydrogen Industry in Western Australia, Andrew Gill from MinterEllison provided an update on the live export ban class action, as well as David Beatty from Meat & Livestock Australia, Professor Ray Wills from Future Smart Strategies, John McKillop the Independent Chair for the Red Meat Advisory Council and many more.

The key topics for this year’s program included biosecurity, carbon, mental health as well as future focussed conversations about the market and the industry.

This year, 40 sponsors and exhibitors participated at the conference and associated social functions. This year’s conference would not have been possible without the generosity of all our sponsors and exhibitors who continue to show support to the KPCA and our members.

KPCA are strong supporters of local charities, and this year our nominated charities were the Royal Flying Doctor Service WA and Dolly’s Dream. We are extremely proud to announce almost $25,000 was raised at the Elders Ladies Lunch and Red Range Stock Supplements Gala Dinner, through the auctions and raffles.

We hope you enjoyed the conference, and we look forward to seeing you again next year in Kununurra on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th October 2023.
