The KPCA Improving Technology Adoption Project is supported by the Northern Hub through funding from AgriFutures Australia. Initially the project undertook a survey of Kimberley and Pilbara producers to establish a baseline for the technology currently being used across the region. As well as to gain an understanding of challenges being experienced and opportunities where producers sought to increase integration of technology into their operations.
Peer to peer discussions and sharing of experiences, insights and lessons using technology in the Kimberley and Pilbara regions are being facilitated through dedicated sessions at the Kimberley and Pilbara Beefup Forums. AgTech bursaries to support the purchase and trial of technology are being rolled out to be followed by a social media series of ground roots accounts from local producers of their personal experience with various technologies.
