Business Development Officer 

Lauren has over a decade’s experience in the northern beef industry; working on stations, in live export yards and as a pastoral trainer/assessor for North Regional TAFE. In this time Lauren completed Certificate IV in Agriculture and Training and Assessment, as well as a Graduate Certificate of Animal Science (2017, UQ). Lauren is passionate about helping build resilient communities and businesses in the north-west. Recently Lauren focused on R&D in an emerging agricultural industry, insect farming. This included establishing and operating a pilot farm in Broome to assess its viability as an organic waste management strategy for northern Australia. For this work, Lauren was a finalist and runner up in the 2020 WA Rural Women’s Award.
